I am a highly motivated Unity Developer with over 8+ years of experience writing, documenting, and developing clean reusable code, emphasizing game development. I have been part of four shipped titles with Shadowlight Gaming, one open beta title with Buh! Gaming, and two more unreleased projects, one with Shadowlight Gaming and one with Razor Edge Games. Check out my portfolio page to learn more about my responsibilities on each project.
I am a natural-born leader with experience in multiple game development environments, such as Unity and Unreal Engines, and a great team player. I have been a part of numerous teams and possess a diverse work portfolio. My ability to create innovative solutions to problems is exceptional, and my dedicated entrepreneurial spirit has led to success throughout the last several years of my professional game development career.
In 2013, I started teaching myself how to code, initially using Java and expanding to several other languages, although I've mostly focused on C# recently. Around that same time, I started exploring the world of game development and have been working in Unity since 2016 and Unreal since 2018. I furthered my education by attending Wake Technical Community College from 2021 to 2023, where I graduated with an AAS in Simulation and Game Development, in addition to 7 different certifications pertaining to the field.
During my high school years, I constructed multiple computers and decided to teach myself how to solder. These experiences led to me working for NerdsToGo towards the end of high school, where I could share my vast technical knowledge with others, both with hardware and software-related issues. This led me to seek employment as a Unity Developer, where I continue to work, as my passion to be a Unity Developer continues unabated.
During my high school career, I competed in competitive speech and debate via the NCFCA for three years. I saw great success, qualifying for the regional championship every year in which I competed. I've won multiple regional-level tournaments and was a top finisher at several national-level tournaments. In my final year competing, I qualified for the national championship. After graduating from high school, I became a coach for a local high school debate club in order to continue to promote the activity and develop communication skills.
Also, throughout my high school years, I competed on multiple baseball teams, being a starter on every team. After graduating high school, I decided not to continue to pursue collegiate athletics to focus on my academic studies and pursue career opportunities; however, my passion for baseball continues as I now umpire baseball.
I have been published several times in my work with the national speech and debate club Lasting Impact! This includes co-authoring two debate sourcebooks, which are research collections formatted and organized for use inside debate rounds.
I am passionate about technology and programming. I have a dedicated work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, fantastic organization skills, and excellent time management skills. I am a natural-born leader who is extraordinarily detail-oriented, and passionate about my field.
